People in Berlin look like they tried to give a blowjob to a piercing machine...and failed epically.

What is it with this humongous bandwagoning in this city? Someone has a piercing/tattoo/hairstyle/ they like, next day its all over the place. Of course its normal to adopt things you see and you like. But trying to be something just for the sake of wanting the same attention and hoping for that same lifestyle seems so teenagerish... Nobody is individual anymore in their desperate attempts to be themselves.

Of course, I am generalizing. And of course, I am guilty of this exact behavior as well. But who or what defines this in-ness? Is it pure visibility? The more one sees a certain accessoire the more it seem cool or necessary? Is it the semantic cloud behind it? The independence (that is so dependent), the physical modifications, the pain, the money?

At some point we well become avatars. We will be able to repair and backup everything. We wont die anymore. We will be upgradet and and updated. We are flawed. Although this might make us human, we are fighting it, and we will win. The fairy tale will win.
